What actually fits in two weeknight evenings
A sized for Tuesday and Thursday, roughly 8–10 pm
Two evenings a week sounds like four clean hours. In practice, the first twenty minutes of each go to arriving: dinner plates, a message from family, finding the file you closed last time. What's left is closer to three hours, and not the sharpest three of your day.
The work you quote and the work you do
Small freelance jobs, like editing a document, setting up a simple page or cleaning a spreadsheet, usually get estimated by the task itself. The task is only part of it. Around it sit the first conversation, a clarifying question, a round of changes, a second round nobody planned, and sending an invoice. On a full-time schedule that surrounding work lands in your lunch break or on your phone at 7 am, which is time you didn't count.
Deadlines meet the main job
A client's "by Friday" fits neatly into two evenings until the main job runs late on Thursday. Before taking anything on, it helps to decide what happens in that week: can the deadline move, or does the job simply not fit this sheet? Saying so at the start costs less than saying so on Thursday night.

Paperwork belongs in the cut
Side income usually has to be reported, and the rules depend on where you live. Keeping a simple record of what came in, what you spent and when takes a few minutes a week, but those minutes are part of the job. If you're in the United States, the IRS runs a "Gig Economy Tax Center" page; Brazil's Receita Federal and other countries' tax authorities publish their own guidance. When in doubt, ask an accountant.
Check your main contract too
Some employment contracts limit outside work, especially for clients in the same field. It's worth reading that clause before the first evening rather than after.
A fair test
Try one small job and write down every minute it takes, including the messages. That number, not the estimate, tells you whether this kind of work fits two evenings, or whether one of them should stay empty.
